
1. It is important for you
to use your muscles every day. Try some fun
activities like these to get you started. Place
a piece of masking tape on the floor and jump
across it ten times. Place your hands on each
side of the tape and hop on your tippy toes
back and forth.
2. Wash your hands before
you eat and after you use the restroom. Staying
"cold" free is the way to be.
3. Keep drinking soda to a
minimum. Soda is filled with sugar or chemicals
and does not offer any nutrition to your body.
In fact, it will make you feel full and you
will not eat the foods that your body needs.
Stick to water or fruit flavored water, and
low fat milk, white or chocolate.
4. The one minute workout
is a great way to wake up and start your day.
You can do it right in your room and it will
only take ONE minute. 10 punches, 10 march in
place, 10 jumping jacks, 10 touch the floor
and jump up, 10 march in place, and finish with
10 run in place. You will feel great and you
are ready to go.
5. Get your family to start
a "walk a day" program. This is a
time that you all get together and walk for
any amount of time that you have. Even if it
is around the block. It is fun to be with your
family and talk about what is going on with
everyone's life. It can be around the block
or around the neighborhood. The important thing
is that you are doing something together as
a family and you are all doing something great
for your health.
